He and his wife, Rheagan, a lawyer, four year old son, Lawrence (Wren), one year old son, Julien (Jule), and lab mix, Nico were living in Sewanee while Nate was working on a Masters in Sacred Theology at the School of Theology.

Nate was born and raised in Upstate New York, the son of Assemblies of God ministers. He found his way into the Episcopal Church during his first year of college, and was confirmed in 2001. He was ordained transitional deacon on June 6, 2018, in Birmingham and ordained a priest on December 1, 2018, at Grace, Pike Road.

Nate has a Bachelors Degree in Classical Languages from Asbury College, a Masters in Divinity from Princeton Seminary, and a Masters in Sacred Theology from Union Seminary, New York. He is currently writing his thesis for a degree in Anglican Studies from the University of the South.

Nate is a student of history with a fascination for U.S culture, a diehard Mets fan, and a recreational long distance runner. Nate and Rheagan love traveling with their dog and two sons.
